NOMACO PARK ERA BEGINS IN ZEBULON

A new era for sports and entertainment in Eastern Wake County officially begins today as Capitol Broadcasting Company (CBC) and Zebulon-based Nomaco Inc. announced a landmark naming rights partnership that will transform the longtime Five County Stadium into Nomaco Park.

For nearly 35 years, Five County Stadium has served as a landmark gathering place for the region. Under the new partnership, Nomaco Park will build on that legacy while ushering in a new chapter centered around baseball, community events, concerts, festivals, and year-round activities. Primary tenants at Nomaco Park include the Zebulon Devil Dogz of the Coastal Plain League and Wake Technical Community College athletics, with additional events and programming planned throughout the calendar year.

“This partnership is about much more than naming rights,” said CBC Sports Vice President Mike Birling. “Nomaco has been part of the Zebulon community for decades, and their leadership team immediately stood out for their vision, passion, and long-term commitment to the region. They were the right partner to help us build something truly special for the future of Zebulon and Eastern Wake County, and we’re proud to officially welcome fans to Nomaco Park.”

This partnership is really about investing in the community that’s been home to Nomaco for so many years, while also investing in its future,” said Bryan Bunker, President of Nomaco. “We’re proud to put the Nomaco name on a place that will bring people in our area together.”

“As we went through the process of identifying a naming rights partner, it became clear very quickly that Nomaco was the right fit,” said CBC Director of Business Development Nick Bavin. “Their leadership team shared our vision for what this venue can become, but just as importantly, they share a deep commitment to the Zebulon community and the people who live and work here every day. This partnership felt authentic from the beginning, and we’re excited to build something special together at Nomaco Park.”

CBC’s vision for Nomaco Park extends beyond summer baseball. The facility is being reimagined as a year-round entertainment and community venue capable of hosting concerts, festivals, amateur sports, corporate events, and other large-scale gatherings that drive activity and investment throughout Zebulon and Eastern Wake County.

As part of this partnership, Nomaco Park will host hiring events and other opportunities to learn more about the company and career opportunities. Fans are encouraged to visit https://ZebulonDevilDogz.com/WorkatNomaco to learn more and apply.

Nomaco Park this summer will host 34 Zebulon Devil Dogz home dates, with additional planned events including Wake Tech athletic events such as baseball and softball, plus local concerts, festivals, and other community events. The stadium has already undergone large-scale renovations, which include new field turf and other repairs to the facility, with more planned following the Devil Dogz’s inaugural season.
